Community Impact

Many women choose to stay in abusive situations due to not having the financial means to leave.

Making a Difference

As we work to acquire funding & resources, we are actively providing supportive and educational services to the community with the help of your generous donations.

In 2022 we had zero grant funding but provided:

Barrier Removal- 39 survivors  received continuous supportive services, funds, supplies and resources for things including but not limited to: rent assistance, short term emergency shelter assistance, school uniforms/new clothing items, childcare payment assistance, car repairs, groceries, career coaching and entrepreneurship coaching.

"Thriver's Heart Program"- Donations of furniture, household items, baby and clothing were provided to 2 survivors families in need.

Virtual Support Group Meetings- Supported survivors nationwide via our monthly virtual support group meetings, safety planning, connecting them with resources and providing a safe platform to connect and share experiences.

Domestic Violence Awareness Education- Our staff facilitated 3 trainings for conferences and workshops in the community.  We were also represented by our Founder & CEO, Cami Barnes in a Fox 5 Atlanta broadcast during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

1st Annual Backpack & School Supplies Drive- provided new backpacks filled with school supplies to 50 children directly impacted by Domestic Violence in the greater Atlanta area.

Inaugural Thrive Fundraising Gala 2022- 26 survivors were honored and we covered the cost of new formal dresses for many of them to wear. Two childhood survivors of domestic violence were utilized to give the key note speech as well as the original art work commissioned and auctioned off during the event.

4th Annual Holiday Toy & Coat Drive- provided coats & gifts to 83 children who have been directly impacted by Domestic Violence in the greater Atlanta area.  And we received a monetary donation from the NFL Alumni Georgia Chapter to cover the cost of the coats.

All of these events/services were financed entirely by monetary donations from supporters like you.

A helping hand

Knowing that help is available could be the deciding factor on whether a woman chooses to leave an abusive environment.  Survivors having the support and encouragement that they need as they transition through this period of time can help them to feel empowered to take control of their lives.

Our "Helping Hands Program" provides Domestic Violence Survivors with a head start on rebuilding their lives by providing an opportunity to receive assistance with various immediate needs.  Click the link below for more information.

Helping Hands Program
